I got a chance to visit Dubrovnik in Croatia during this summer vacation. I have been extremely fortunate, not only to grow up on one of the most gorgeous places on earth but also to be given the opportunity to travel quite a bit. So it takes a lot for me to admit that Dubrovnik is truly a very beautiful place, with breathtaking views anywhere you go.

Unfortunately, it truly is extremely crowded and dare I say, fairly expensive. A drive to nearby Kotor in Montenegro reveals equal beauty, the contrast of blue waters and green mountain side by side, without the crowds but also without as many convenient resorts and amenities if that’s your thing.
