There’s not a lot of foods you can make that are universally adored and destined to make you somebody’s favorite person. Sweet or savory, waffles are one of those food items, even pancake folks cannot say no to! As such, I’ve been working to up my waffle game over the years. I’m proud of my waffles and I’ve even managed to scale it up and now make waffles for the entire Tubi TV San Francisco office every Valentine’s day.

By keeping the sugar content low, the crisp factor high, with an airy moist interior, these can be enjoyed with your favorite sweet toppings, topped with eggs, doused in maple syrup, or even “stuffed”.
How to “stuff” waffles
- On a silpat lined sheet, take your favorite spread,
your favorite spread is of course Nutella, right?
, and spread it on a real thin - Put the sheet in the freezer for an hour prior to making waffles
- Once the spread is frozen, cut it in squares that are slightly smaller than the size of your waffles
- When ready to cook, pour only enough batter to half-fill the slot
- Wait 30 seconds and then gently put the frozen tile on top of the still unset batter
- Pour the rest of the batter on top
- Close the lid on your waffle maker
